%X In order to guarantee good quality of crude drugs, the production standardization of Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora Pennell is referred to requirements and contents of the Chinese Medicinal Materials Production Quality Management Standard, which was promulgated and implemented by the State Drug Administration. The standard operation procedure (SOP) of Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora Pennell was formulated. It includes the species, environmental requirements, production management and processing, quality and packaging, storage, transportation, and etc. Regulations and requirements of the entire production process are unified in order to adapt to the Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora Pennell production in alpine areas of northwest Yunnan.
