%X The high pathogenic rate and high mortality rates of AIDS have caught more attention for recent three decades. The expectation is focused on HIV/AIDS prevention and great breakthrough in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) research. This article introduced research and development of molecular mechanism of APOBEC3G's anti HIV-1 effects and the gene vif's antagonism to them. The goal is to discuss the significance of HIV gene therapy and the potential research direction of TCM for HIV treatment.
