%X In the 21st century,Chinese materia medica(CMM)will meet great developing chance an d several challenge at the same time.Thus,it' s significant to develop,innovate a nd construct the echelon of talent.T he points,such as the con-struction of TCM theory,the protection,innovation and continual utilization of CMM resources,standardiz ation of medical herb in pieces,normalization of technology and administer of qu ality of CMM,modernization of enterprise,standardization of CMM chemistry,p harmacology,toxicology and clinic al research,as well as normalizatio n of instruc-tion,are key points of CMM moderniza tion,and that they will be the vital t ask we should think first.
