%X The precipitation rules of sand grains in the well fluid are studied in laboratory, and a mathematical model for predicting the sand carrying capability of well fluid is suggested on the basis of experimental results. By combining with the old design method of rod pumping wells, an improved method for designing the rod pumping system in sand producing wells is presented.
