The cupric nitrate-alcohol is used instead of golden chloride-ether for marking solution, and an improved penetrating method of marking solution is also given. In this way, the damage of cross-ply glass fiber/epoxy laminates with a surface crack is studied, and the influences of the depth and the section geometry of surface crack on the damage form is explored.
