%X The study on the characteristic DNA Sequence of Chinese crude drugs and the establishment of a data base in this particular field are very important in protecting the genetic resources of Chinese crude drugs, realizing the modernization of quality control, evaluating the genuineness of crude drugs, promoting largescale production of active constituents with the technology of gene engineering, and expanding new resources of Chinese crude drugs.
