In the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 758 volunteer subjects. Subjects were asked to tell the cause and symptoms of excessive internal heat, and associated treatment they had used. Survey results show that 91% of the subjects have experienced "excessive internal heat", with an overall incidence of 4.2%. for the symptom.Females, especially elder females, are easier to have "excessive internal heat", which lasts longer, compared with males. There is a significant difference between genders on some symptoms of "excessive internal heat". It is concluded that the socalled "excessive internal heat" is a sub-health state, either in dry or in hot forms. Unhealthy living habit is an important contributing factor. Differences in symptoms are correlated with genders and ages. Switching to healthy behavior and lifestyle is important for mitigating the symptoms and preventing reoccurrence of "excessive internal heat". %K excessive internal heat %K retrospective review %K symptom %K body conception
