The characteristics of serrated yielding change with solution treatment temperatures. The plastic deformation behaviour of alloys is closely related to microstructure, especially the kinetics of dislocation motion. In this pal3er the microstructure of A1-Cu-Mg alloys solution-treated at different temperatures was investigated by transmission electron microscope, and the size and volume content of precipitate particles were registered.
