By using transducer and computer technique,a by-pass throttle type electric-hydraulic system with only one throttle valve is presented for controlling both the pressure and the speed in a traditional hydraulic universal testing machine.Its application is successful.The system may serve as a foundation for developing new types of testing machine. %K metallic material tensile testing %K stress rate %K strain rate %K testing machine
