%X we carried out an investigation on zoobenthos in six cascade reservoirs of the Red River in July and November 2009. The study was to analyse and evaluate the succession of zoobenthos in contrast to the information before and after the the cascade reservoirs were built. The results show that: After Six cascade reservoirs were bulit, community structure of zoobenthos changed from swift-flowing species to slow-flowing and lentic species in developed reach of the Red River. Most of species distribution declined, density of zoobenthos increase significantly, biomass of zoobenthos changed in varying degrees in different cascade reservoirs.
