%X The researches on the exposure and risk assessment of phthalates draw more and more attention. In this paper, both physical chemistry properties and contact opportunities of phthalates were reviewed. The progress of body metabolites and health risks were introduced. And the standards of phthalates of countries were compared. Studies on the exposure and risk assessment of phthalates were summarized. Additionally, the problems existing in this field were analayzed. Lastly, the trends of future development in this field were prospected.
