It is necessary to develop indigenous test organisms for the quantitative assessment of pollutant toxic effects on aquatic organisms. Through cadmium spiked water-only toxicity test, the sensitivity of Corophium acherusicum exposed to cadmium was confirmed. Results showed that there were significantly positive correlations between the toxic effects of cadmium on Corophium acherusicum and the concentrations of cadmium, and the toxic intensity became higher as the exposure time increased.
