In this review, we introduced the zebrafish genome, including forward genetic, reverse genetic and the application of zebrafish in drug discovery and human disease research; we also summarized the application of zebrafish in developmental biology. Finally, we reviewed the use of zebrafish in various toxicology research fields (acute toxicity, endocrine disruption, developmental toxicity, neurotoxicity, vascular research and cancer research). %K genome %K cell %K toxicology %K transgene %K mutation
