%X In this paper, the effects of electromagnetic field(EMF) on the content changes of protein, amino acids and minerals of Spirulina platensis were studied as well as the mechanisms analysis based on the changes of water characteristics and ions binding. It was found that, under 0.25T electromagnetic field, the total contents of protein & amino acids did not increase notably. But there were great changes in the composition of amino acids, where the total essential amino acid content increased sharply. At the same time, the contents of minerals, especially for trace elements, were rose sharply. The bioeffects induced by electromagnetic field perhaps come from the changes of the characteristics of magnetic water and ions assimilation. Magnetic-culture is an effective method to improve the nutrition of Spirulina platensis.
