王毅 %A 王磊 %A 李兵 %A 王连红 %A 刁云程 %J 生物物理学报 %D 1996 %I %X Most posteromedial lateral suprasylvian (PMLS) cells (171/200) tuned to the orientation of moving bars. 65% of their tuning widths (width at half height)were less than90°.Taking into consideration of both orientational and directional selectivities, four distinct cell groups could be recognized. 1. cells with strong direction as well as orientation selectivities; 2. cells with strong orientation tuning and bidirection selectivity;3 cells with weak orientation tuning and strong direction selectivity;4.cells neither orientationally nor directionally tuned; 5. cells without the above distinct characteristics.There types of cells agree well with the organization of the middle temporal visual area (MT) of the owl monley, revealed by using optical recording techniques. %K Orientation selectivity %K Direction selectivity %K Visual cortex %K Posteromedial lateral suprasylvian area %K Cat
