%X In this paper, the binding mechanism of 4'6-diamidino- 2 -phenylindole (DAPI)with DNA is studied by the means of Raman spectroscopy, It is believed that DAPI binds with DNA in a non-inlaid way to form hydrogen bomds with AT base pairs in the minor grooves of DNA double helix, and the binding is inhibi-ted at low pH value and high salt concentration also makes it difficult.
