张建平 %A 谢洁 %A 赵井泉 %A 彭程航 %A 郑锡光 %A 赵福利 %A 张景民 %A 汪河洲 %J 生物物理学报 %D 2001 %I %X The energy transfer processes in the monomeric and trimeric R- phycocyanin (R-PC) from Polysiphonia urceolata were studied by the picosecond time-resolved spectra and renaturation technique of the protein subunit. The spectral data were obtained directly for the renaturated β subunit of the R-PC and those of the α subunit were considered to be the spectral differences between the spectra of the β subunit and those of R-PC. The three dimensional spectra(time,wavelength and intensity) clearly showed the energy transfer process between the phocoerythrobilin(PEB) and phococyanobilin(PCB) chromophores in R-PC. Based on the componential analyses of the time-resolved spectra, the energy transfer pathways and the kinetic parameters, as well as the difference between the energy transfer features in monomers and the trimers, were discussed and explained in detail. Furthermore, it is indicated that the special chromophore composition is responsible for higher efficiency for light capture and energy transfer in R-PC than in C-PC. %K R-Phycocyanin %K Subunite renature %K Time-resolved %K Fluorescence spectra %K Energy transfer
