Under the same clamping voltage, the channel current varied in amplitude of 20pS, 32pS and 58pS three levels channel conductance were observed When the membrane was hyperpolarind. The opening events of the three conducances were approximately 12%, 67% and 21% of all openings respediVely, in Which 32pS state was predominant. The direct transitions could occur betWeen certain conductance levels and the most frequently occurring transitions were between the 58 and 32pS levels and the 32 and 20pS levels. It is suggested that the ATP-activated single channel with multiple conductance levels exists in the cerebral conical neurons of neonatal rat. %K ATP channel Patch clamp Cerebral cortical neurons
