%X A fluo probe, dansyl --p hos p hatidylethanolamine (DPE), was la belled o n the o uterne sauce of dschondria or boplast to show the changes in dielectric constant ofne sauce (b) with membrane ennyhation.Succinate was found to decrease e value ofthe rat liver chchondria or boplast by 11% or 20%. CCCP or ulgericin incths valueby 12%. Hoal, in the of KCN of CCCP, succinate was unable tO change s value. KCN, CCCP or nigericin could incme e value by about 9% if succinate was added atfnst. In the pace of KCN, hoplast sauce e value wu de by 8% additon ofAam, and incy by 10% by addition of oligomycin. All of the adults obtained shoalthat s value decthe with inelnbrane enwition and incpite acbderanedeenerghation. The Se are consideral as new infonnation concerning the ndtionship be energhahon and the dec in hydlahon of -chndria membrane surface,and also as new evidences for the model of proton pUInping-inducing cane fusion.
