%X In this paper, we studied the behavior and function of macrophages before and after ConA combined with membrane receptors by using Image Analysis System, Phase Contrast Microscope and Biological Activity Meter.The results showed that when ConA combined with the membrane receptors, a series of changes took place including the increment of cell area, the enhancement of deformability and phagocytosis, and the increase of the releasing heat of macrophages. All these indicated that the membrane structure and function changed. The Image Analysis System was used to study macrophages at living state.
