%X The stabilization of wastewater sludge by anaerobic digestion has been analysed. A model-free control strategy (MFC) is presented. A multivariable control system has been developed which manipulates heat addition and inflow so as to control digestion temperature and effluent substrate concentration. The convergence of MFC algorithm is proven. The stability of MFC system is discussed. MFC does not need the process model. Simulation results show that MFC is effective.
