%X This paper deals with the ecological studies on the comparison between the mixed forest of Chinese pine Pinus tabulaeformis Carr. with broadleaf trees and the pure Chinese pine forest. The result of our studies shows that in the soil erosion area of Western Liaoning Province of China the mixed forest of Chinese pine with broadleaf trees is superior to the pure Chinese pine forest not only in increasing its soil humidity, humus content and growth rate, but also in improving its microclimate to reduce the dam...
