%X By using hiberarchy analysis and comprehensive index method, the ecosystem service importance and its regional diversities in Liaoning Province were quantitatively assessed, based on the comprehensive analysis of biodiversity protection, water resources conservation, soil conservation, desertification control, and nutrients conservation. Overall, the ecosystem service in the Province was in importance. 60.66% and 30.71% of the total area of Liaoning Province had the ecosystem service in high and medium importance, respectively; while the rest had the one in certain extent importance.
