%X Ionizing radiation does both simple and complex damage to DNA. Complex damage can induce cell death and mutagenesis, which effects the DNA repair. Track structure model is the only method to simulate the spectrum of DNA damages presently, but it is computationally very expensive and may be impractical for some applications. A simple fast algorithm simulating DNA damages spectrum produced by ionizing radiation is proposed. This algorithm captures the major trends of DNA damage spectrum predicted using detailed track-structure simulations. This method is fast and can be generalized easily. The parameters used in the damage simulation algorithm is provided for electron, proton and alpha particle.
