%X The colour of humar face reflects the important informations of lif ucti-vities and health states. However, up to the present, there is no effective and objective means for this assessment.In this present study, for firsttime a spectrometric device and its computer analysis system for inspection diagnosis of face were developed.Wide ranged measurements of 256 liyht components on 32 facial sites of each person examinee have been studied and computerized, making an objective and quantitative analysis. Measurements of 111 healthy individuals and patients with coronary disease, hypertension, sepuela of cerebrovascular accidents, diabetes, chronic bronchitis and anemia were made. In the result, not only were the standards for the inspection of face of healthy body in objective diagnosis obtained, but also the different spectral components of reflection light of face in patients with different diseases were found, and forthermore, the regularity of spectral changes and the occurence site of the specific information are correlated with healthy states or different diseases. Therefore, the results of this study provide an evidence for objective inspection of face diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine.
