%X Up to now it is difficult to predict the structure of the membrane protein. In this paper we have predicted the secondary structure of three typical membrane proteins (The Photosynthetic Reaction Center, Bacteriorhodopsin and Rhodopsin) using the statistical pattern recognition method. The results show that the prediction of secondary structure of the membrane protein is consist with the experiment data, as it dose with the prediction of globular protein. We have improved the method of pattern recognition. Which is proved be good for structure prediction. Since the use of pattern recognition method in the field of structure prediction is new yet. This method will be further developed.
