A uniform magnetic field is assumed to be applied transversely in the direction of the flow. . A chemically reactive species is emitted from the vertical surface into the flow field. The governing equations are developed by usual Boussinesq¡¯s approximation .The problem is solved by regular perturbation technique. The expressions for the velocity field, temperature field, species concentration, shearing stress and the coefficient of heat transfer (in terms of Nusselt number) at the walls are obtained and their nature has been discussed by means of graphs. The effects of Hartmann number, the rarefaction parameter ,the porous parameter, Schmidt number and chemical reaction parameter on the flow are discussed. %K MHD %K Free Convective %K Viscous Incompressible %K Skin Friction %K Nusselt Number %K Chemical Reaction %K Slip Flow Region %U http://article.sapub.org/10.5923.j.ajcam.20120203.10.html
