%0 Journal Article %T A Case Report: Using Augmentative and Alternative Communication to Teach a Preschool Student with Autism to Respond and Request Appropriately %J International Journal of Brain and Cognitive Sciences %@ 2163-1867 %D 2012 %I %R 10.5923/j.ijbcs.20120104.01 %X The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), specifically a Flip nĄŻ Talk, with a preschool child thought to be on the autism spectrum. The ability to functionally request assistance and respond appropriately within a daily routine was the focus for this study. A multiple baseline design was employed to evaluate the intervention.
