%X The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), specifically a Flip nĄŻ Talk, with a preschool child thought to be on the autism spectrum. The ability to functionally request assistance and respond appropriately within a daily routine was the focus for this study. A multiple baseline design was employed to evaluate the intervention. The results of this study indicated that the Flip nĄŻ Talk (i.e. AAC) was an effective way to teach functional communication to our participant.
