The fluorescence of phosphorus (III) tetrabenzotriazacorrole can be reversibly regulated by the three kinds of status of the diarylethene dialdehyde, colorless ring-opened form, red ring-closed form, and blue ring-closed form, which is gated by visible light, ultraviolet light and ethanol individually or jointly.
