%0 Journal Article %T A fam¨ªlia Xyridaceae no munic¨ªpio de Mucug¨º, BA, Brasil %A Silva %A Gisele de Oliveira %A Wanderley %A Maria das Gra£¿as Lapa %J Hoehnea %D 2013 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %R 10.1590/S2236-89062013000100002 %X we aimed to elaborate the monograph of xyridaceae from the municipality of mucug¨º in central bahia. mucug¨º is located in the northern range of espinha£¿o ridge, within parque nacional da chapada diamantina and parque municipal de mucug¨º. the study was based on field collections and herbarium specimens and revealed the occurrence of 19 species, including five endemics for chapada diamantina. this paper is part of flora da bahia project. the vegetation occurs over quartzite rocky outcrops called campo rupestre, one of the richest centers of diversity of brazilian flora. the peculiar conditions of soil and climate, together with the topography of the espinha£¿o range, favor the high endemism observed for several plant families, including xyridaceae. identification keys, species descriptions, illustrations, data on geographical distribution, and taxonomic discussions are provided. %K campo rupestre %K chapada diamantina %K floristic survey %K xyris. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2236-89062013000100002&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
