%X in this article, the results of a research to establish the translator's profile in colombia are presented. a survey was sent to 57 translator and 45 answered it. this profile of the colombian translator can be drawn as a professional aged 36 to 45, living and working in medell¨ªn and bogot¨¢ with undergraduate and graduate degree mainly in translation, working as freelance translator full and part time from english into spanish, and using computer tools.
