%X the doctor as patient is a breakdown of the social roles that are established both for professionals in medicine and their patients. these two conditions may throw interesting findings about the social construction of illness from the perspective of the medical profession and in doing so closer to understanding the social experience of a serious sickness who applies read from expert medical knowledge (on the disease to others) about his own sickness and high probability of death.
