%X talking about christian eschatology, one of the most unfathomable subjects for faithful is hell. eternal death is the worst possible evil for believers. in it, and irrevocably, the creature is locked in her painful self-rejection. this possibility shakes the notions of justice and, above all, divine mercy, and the effectiveness of christological salvation. from these intuitions and mainly supported by scripture, liturgical practice and the authority of st. thomas, p. luis alonso getino ventured a guess, preserving the human possibility of the complete non serviam . it primarily deals with keeping intact god's goodness, who would remain faithful to his essence the only way possible, namely, smoothing soothing progressive eternal punishment. thus, divine and human dignity are protected in a modern and suggestive theology.
