%0 Journal Article %T Differenza epistemologica e identit¨¤ ontologica tra Sa£¿s¨¡ra e Nirv¨¡£¿a nel pensiero buddhista %A Ferraro %A Giuseppe %J Trans/Form/A£¿£¿o %D 2012 %I Universidade Estadual Paulista %R 10.1590/S0101-31732012000100012 %X the difference between the concepts of sa£¿s¨¡ra e nirv¨¡£¿aset forth by the historical buddha (vi-v b.c.) in his first sermon seem to be disputed by the equalization of the two terms effected by n¨¡g¨¡rjuna (ii a.d) in a topical passage of his mk. this article, firstly, supports the thesis that the contradiction is just a seeming one and that the relation of difference or identity between the two dimensions depends on the philosophical register, respectively epistemological and ontological, being used - in both cases for soteriological purposes - by the buddha and n¨¡g¨¡rjuna. secondly, we wish to prove that, in any case, n¨¡g¨¡rjuna's ontology, far from being a philosophical novelty or an evolution of the thought of the founder of buddhism, is, on the contrary, one of the possible applications of the "non-self" doctrine (an¨¡tma-v¨¡da) - probably the most important and original contribution of buddhist thought to the history of world philosophy - expounded by the buddha in his second sermon. %K buddha %K n¨¡g¨¡rjuna %K sa£¿s¨¡ra %K nirv¨¡£¿a %K svabh¨¡va %K an¨¡tma-v¨¡da. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0101-31732012000100012&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
