%0 Journal Article %T A supergeneralizaˋˋo da mem車ria autobiogr芍fica nos transtornos depressivos %A Dutra %A Tarc赤sio Gomes %A Kurtinaitis %A Laila da Camara Lima %A Cantilino %A Amaury %A Vasconcelos %A Maria Carolina Souto de %A Hazin %A Izabel %A Sougey %A Everton Botelho %J Trends in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy %D 2012 %I Associa??o de Psiquiatria do Rio Grande do Sul %R 10.1590/S2237-60892012000200005 %X this article aims to review studies focusing on the relationship between overgeneral autobiographical memory and depressive disorders. such characteristic has attracted attention because of its relationship with a poor ability to solve problems and to imagine the future, as well as with the maintenance and a poor prognosis of depression. data were collected through a systematic search on lilacs, scielo, medline, and ibecs databases, and also on the health sciences records of portal de peri車dicos da coordenaˋˋo de aperfeiˋoamento de pessoal de n赤vel superior (capes), a brazilian journal database, focusing on articles published between 2000 and 2010. the following keywords were used: mem車ria autobiogr芍fica, supergeneralizaˋˋo da mem車ria autobiogr芍fica, and mem車ria autobiogr芍fica e depressˋo in portuguese; and autobiographical memory, overgeneral autobiographical memory, and autobiographical memory and depression in english. following application of exclusion criteria, a total of 27 studies were reviewed. overgeneral autobiographical memory has been investigated in several depressive disorders. however, further longitudinal studies are required to confirm the relevant role of this cognitive characteristic in anamnesis and in the treatment of mood disorders. %K autobiographical memory %K depression %K cognition. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2237-60892012000200005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
