%X this article wants to enrich the history of the relations between christianity and the social-political change from an analysis to the so-called c¨¦dula del com¨²n, a leaflet written in verse and whose authorship is attributed to a dominican friar. that leaflet was spread among the comuneros who participated in the insurrection against the authorities of the viceroyalty of nueva granada in may 1781. it is proposed a hypothesis in which in societies marked by christianity religiousness can be a powerful germ and motivator for political-social movements, or an instrument for the authority to contain and dissolve such movements.
