%X the processes through which mass media were monopolized in rosario started in 1997 with the arrival of grupo uno. from then onwards, the city, with a population of a million and a half, counts with ten companies centralized by the aforementioned mendoza province's holding. this fact, closely related to political and economic power, creates a constant tensions vis-a-vis freedom of speech, plurality of voices, and the people's right to be informed.
