%0 Journal Article %T La participaci¨®n p¨²blica en sistemas tecnol¨®gicos: Lecciones para la educaci¨®n CTS %A Osorio %A Carlos %J Revista iberoamericana de ciencia tecnolog£¿-a y sociedad %D 2005 %I Centro de Estudios sobre Ciencia, Desarrollo y Educaci¨®n Superior (REDES) %X learning to participate has become increasingly crucial in today's scientific education and contemporary technology. this article discloses some of the results of a research study which promotes such participation by means of different teaching techniques/approaches. conceptual aspects as well as the public participation at an international level have also been revised to extract elements that will allow the development of learning strategies of public participation in issues related to science and technology. these learning strategies have been suggested taking the concept of technological system as the unit of analysis . it is possible to learn to participate through the notion of technological system. the proposed didactics are: focal groups, mediation, simulated cases, and the cycle of responsibility; all of which are to be considered in relation to the public participation in matters related to drinking water, health, and agriculture in the colombian context. %K technological system %K public participation %K technological education %K sts education. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1850-00132005000300009&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
