%X basic aspects of the video-analysis technique are presented and some of its possibilities of usage as a supportive didactic tool are discussed, focusing the teaching of classical movements in experimental physics. it consists of an instructional resource which does not demand large financial investments. besides a computer, an equipment to capture image is needed, what can be a digital camera, a cell phone or simply a web cam. it is also needed a computer program through which the video analysis is done, allowing to work an image sequence to identify the position of an object at each time instant. it is also presented a summary of the didactic experience results in which the video-analysis resource was applied in classroom with students of physics laboratory ii, offered in the many engineering and physics courses at campus bag¨¦ of the universidade federal do pampa (unipampa). it could be verified that the video-analysis was received with interest by the students and it contributed to a better understanding on the physical basis contained in the study of the oscillatory movement executed by the physical pendulum. the results point that it is possible to use the video-analysis as a tool to facilitate the experimental physics teaching. however, there is a need for more researches to reinforce a direction to consolidate the use of this didactic tool.
