%X this article puts forward the grounds and the purposes of a reform to the contract law in the nineteenth century codes, inspired on the french code civil; in order to do so, it examines the corresponding reform projects prepared in france and explains which would be the proper parameters from a technical juridical point of view, which would influence this task. in short, it compares these suppositions with the french projects in the scope of the breach and contractual remedies.
