%X accountabilty has become a topic of interest not only to investigate the degree of control of politics and its practitioners, but an indicator of the quality of democracy .thus, within accountability, social accountabilty could be understood as a way of strengthening policy, because in it a profound interplay between government, institutions, citizens and media. therefore, this article seeks to make a first reflective analysis on the development of this form of political control in latin america, in order to establish whether a correlation exists between this practice and the democratization indicators in the region.
