%0 Journal Article %T Seguimiento y sobrevida de pacientes con carcinoma invasor del cuello uterino %A Rodr¨ªguez %A ¨¢gata %A Santos %A Manuel %A Noguera %A Mar¨ªa %A Romero %A Leonardo %J Revista de Obstetricia y Ginecolog¨ªa de Venezuela %D 2008 %I Sociedad de Obstetricia y Ginecolog¨ªa de Venezuela %X objective: to determine follow-up and survival subsequent to the treatment of patients with cervical cancer. method: retrospective study with revision and data collection of clinical histories of patients with cervical cancer. 1995-2004. settings: university hospital of los andes. results: a total of 327 patients with cancer were obtained during the decade in study. a 30 % of the patients were coming from states different from the merida state. the average age of the patients was of 46.7 years. the stages in that they went and were diagnosed most frequently were the stage iiib (28.3 %) and stage iib (23.9 %)ib. the 5 years- survival of the patients has an important variation with respect to the stage, being 99 % for stage i and 0 % for stage iv. conclusions: the diagnosis of cervical cancer is delayed in most of the patients, which causes that, the treatment is limited, increases the recidivism and diminishes the survival. %K cervical cancer %K survival. treatment. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0048-77322008000200003&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
