%0 Journal Article %T Asesoramiento en Aula: Hacia un modelo de mejora profesional de docentes %A Rodr¨ªguez Trujillo %A Nacarid %J Revista de Pedagog¨ªa %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X we present a methodology for the professional development of teachers, based in the school and centered in the classroom, guided by the aims of improving both teacher performance and student learning. guidance is based on the structure of the tutorial as proposed by sch£¿n (1992), and includes four components: voluntary participation, modeling, written material and classroom observation. the study was carried out in a public school with the participation of twenty three teachers and four advisors. documentation included field notes, the minutes of meetings, reports, and a questionnaire whose analysis provided evidence to improve the methodology and the instruments used. the findings were used as part of a model to improve teaching standards, especially aimed at teacher training institutions through which such a model might not only contribute to professional improvement but also to closing the gap between theory and practice to the benefit of both. %K in-service teacher training %K teacher updating %K teaching %K methodological systemization. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0798-97922009000100007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
