%0 Journal Article %T Caracter¨ªsticas socio-profesionales de los docentes y su percepci¨®n de £¿estresores£¿ en la Educaci¨®n B¨¢sica en Venezuela %A Ram¨ªrez %A Tulio %A D£¿aubeterre %A Mar¨ªa Eugenia %A ¨¢lvarez %A Juan Carlos %J Revista de Pedagog¨ªa %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X in this study we describe the statistically significant differences in terms of the perception of stressors in function of socio-professional variables of teachers of the first and second stages of elementary education in venezuela. a transectional and descriptive field study was conducted with a sample of 1788 classroom teachers employed in 12 states in the country. the results indicate that the perception of the factor £¿work as a teacher£¿ as a stressing agent presents significant differences between single teachers (low levels) and those that are divorced (high levels). in terms of professional cycles, phases 4 (41 to 55 years old) and 5 (over 55) are those that are identified with the highest values of stress generating factors. as regards gender, the perception of stressors in women is significantly higher than that of men in nine of the twelve factors considered by the teacher stressor perception inventory. %K perception of stressors %K occupational stress %K teaching %K elementary education. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0798-97922010000100006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
