%X in this paper the basic scheme of archimedes of syracuse£¿s investigative method is presented, as well as its historical and scientific implications. for this purpose the two fundamental procedures of such method will be evaluated: the application of an innovative heuristic method of mechanical nature, and the further proof of such results through the exhaustion method.
