%X food allergies are defined as an immune reaction to a food protein. it may be mediated by ige antibodies or not, or by mixed mechanisms. during the first year of life, allergy to dairy products is the most frequent cause of food allergy. this paper reviews mechanisms and management of allergy to dairy products.
