%X this paper analyzes the results of the research on "culture and youth: the construction of meaning in youth cultures (2004-2008)." it also explores youth-politics relations in the context of latin american ideas on the transformations of the realities and interpretations that mediate this relationship. the article reveals the resilience of certain political criteria as regards politics' traditional topics and their limitations to answer more general questions on youth-politics relations. this enables a different understanding of today's transformations.
