%X post-industrial society manifests itself in five dimensions: an economic sector; an occupational distribution; centralism of theoretical knowledge; a futuristic orientation based on technological control and decision making oriented towards new intellectual technology. this motivates us to analyze public management in the post-industrial society through documentary analysis. according to present conditions, this society gives rise to a public administration that consolidates relations of dominion, that is the government of men together with a management that assumes control of material things. presently, public administration maintains its basic characteristics, without at the same time taking into account the stage in which changes produced by post-industrialization impel the advent of the modality of management of services
