%0 Journal Article %T Asociaci¨®n entre percepci¨®n de estr¨¦s y riesgo de trastorno de comportamiento alimentario %A Bustos Leiton %A Gloria Johana %A Romero Chaparro %A Arist¨®bulo %A Campo Arias %A Adalberto %J Revista Salud Uninorte %D 2011 %I Universidad del Norte %X background: eating disorders (ed) are associated with several factors o or variables. perceived stress may be a correlated variable that have has not been explored yet in colombia colombian female students. objective: to know the relationship between perceived stress and risk of ed among university women in bogota, colombia. method: a cross-sectional study was carried out. a sample of adult university female students completed the perceived stress scale (\\=0.87) and the scoff questionnaire for risk of ed (\\=0.41). logistical regression was performed to adjust the association (or) between high perceived stress and risk for ed. results: a total of 175 women participated. the mean for age was 19.5 years (sd=1.9). twenty seven (14.9%) participants reported high perceived stress, and 27 (15.4%) women presented a high risk for ed. high perceived stress was related to risk for ed (or=2.9, 95% 1.1-7.6), after adjusting for age. conclusions: there is a significant association between high perceived stress and risk for ed among female students of a public university in bogota, colombia. more researches are needed including other populations. %K psychological stress %K eating disorders %K women %K students %K cross-sectional studies. %U http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0120-55522011000100004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
