%X the purpose of the present paper is to examine the ways in which the epidemiology and diagnosis, medical complications, nutritional concerns, psychological issues, treatment and outcome for adolescents with eating disorders differ from those of adults, with particular emphasis on prevention and on the medical and developmental issues unique to this period.
